Labrador Retrievers come in three
recognized color variations: black, yellow, and chocolate. Please
note that the vast majority of labs found in rescue programs are
adult dogs. If you have your heart set on a particular sex or color,
or if you'd like a puppy, you may find that you need to be a little
more patient than the average adoptive family. Send us an email telling us what type of
dog your family would like and we will keep your information on
file. However, be sure not to judge a dog by its coat, so to speak.
Regardless of color or sex or age, these dogs have been put on the
following pages because they are well mannered, loving animals in
need of a home. We feel that any one of them would make an excellent
pet.
*NOTE* Many new Labradors are still
undergoing evaluation and vet procedures to prepare them for
adoption. These new Labs have not yet been listed on our site. If
you'd like to be considered for a Lab, but haven't seen that perfect
fit for your family, fill out our application form and we will
contact you when the new Labs have been cleared for
adoption.
Although we are located in
Kentucky, we do allow out of state adoptions for approved adoptive
families.
